University of Cambridge's A' Level Arts

The University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is the world’s largest provider of international qualifications. It is also the most recognised pre-tertiary qualification that allows students to gain entry into renowned universities worldwide – including the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

They will learn skills of effective and appropriate communication including the ability to discuss the critical context of texts.

Business Studies - 9707
The Business Studies syllabus enables students to understand and appreciate the nature and scope of business, and the role it plays in society. The syllabus covers economic, environmental, ethical, governmental, legal, social and technological issues, and encourages a critical understanding of organizations, the markets they serve and the process of adding value. Students examine the management of organizations and, in particular, the process of decision-making in a dynamic external environment.

Accounting - 9706
The Advance and AS Level Accounting syllabus enables students to apply their accounting knowledge and understanding in order to analyze and present information, give reasoned explanations, and make judgements and recommendations. The syllabus covers topics such as the recording of financial information, accounting principles and control systems, and the preparation of final accounts for a variety of different organizations and businesses. Students learn more about raising capital by shares and loans, ratio analysis and cost accounting, and also study the preparation of cash flow statements, cash flow analysis, the repayment of share capital, and standard costing and investment appraisal, among many other topics.

Economics - 9708
